A Message from Burges High School:
At Burges High School, we believe every Mustang has the power to achieve, grow, and lead with purpose. Rooted in a tradition of excellence, our campus is committed to preparing students for a future filled with opportunity. With a mission centered on accountability, responsibility, and lifelong learning, Burges provides a safe, supportive environment where students can develop confidence, independence, and a true enthusiasm for learning.
Our commitment to academic rigor and student success is reflected in the Burges Early College High School (BECHS) — the first program of its kind in the El Paso region. Since 2014, BECHS has empowered students to earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree through a unique “school within a school” model, offered in partnership with El Paso Community College. Students take dual credit and college-level courses, all at no cost to families, giving them a crucial head start on higher education and future careers.
At Burges, students benefit from a strong college-going culture, personalized academic support, and a community that believes deeply in their potential. Whether they’re pursuing Early College, exploring extracurricular passions, or developing essential skills for the future, Mustangs are encouraged to Engage, Respect, Take Responsibility, Show Resilience, and Uplift Others. These are the core values that make up our BHS 5 Pillars.
We invite prospective students and families to join us for Burges High School Program Night on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. Come explore our programs, meet our educators, and discover the many ways Burges supports students on their path to excellence.
Once a Mustang, always a Mustang. 🐴💜
