CLASS OF 2026 LEAVES LASTING LEGACY AT BURGES HIGH SCHOOL
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 10, 2026) — Burges High School proudly celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 as graduates crossed the stage and embarked on the next chapter of their lives.
This year, Burges High School honored a graduating class distinguished by academic achievement, leadership, service, and school pride.
Leading the Class of 2026 is Valedictorian Gianluca Arellano and Salutatorian Jayden Jackson, whose dedication and commitment to excellence earned them the highest academic honors in their class.
Burges also recognized Jordan Hahn as the All Burges Boy and Maya Herrera as the All Burges Girl, honors awarded to students who exemplify outstanding achievement, leadership, and service to their school community.
The campus additionally celebrated Catalina Gutierrez and Mia Milliorn as Outstanding Citizens, recognizing their positive impact on the Burges community through character, service, and leadership.
Members of the Top 2 Percent of the graduating class include Gianluca Arellano, Jayden Jackson, Matthew De La O, Destanee Hernandez, Miranda Herrera, Victoria Martinez, Carlos Rodriguez-Jacobo, Alexis Figueroa, Maya Herrera, Mia Milliorn, and Gloria Vasquez.
"The Class of 2026 represents the very best of Burges High School. Their achievements in the classroom, commitment to service, and dedication to one another have left a lasting impact on our campus," said Principal Jason Yturralde. "We are incredibly proud of our graduates and look forward to seeing the difference they will make in the world."
Burges High School's mission is to promote accountability, responsibility, and lifelong learning while preparing students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Those values were reflected in the achievements of the Class of 2026, whose graduates leave campus prepared to pursue higher education, careers, military service, and other opportunities.
Guided by the school's five pillars, Encourage, Respect, Responsibility, Engage, and Resilience, the Class of 2026 has built a legacy of excellence that will continue to inspire future generations of Mustangs.
