(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – March 21, 2025) – Powell Elementary School welcomes Michelle Pringle as its new principal. A dedicated and experienced educator, Pringle brings nearly three decades of experience in education, including over a decade in campus leadership.
Pringle most recently served as principal at Rivera Elementary, where she focused on data-driven strategies to enhance student achievement and strengthen community engagement. Prior to that, she led Kohlberg Elementary for ten years, overseeing curriculum development, teacher mentorship, and daily campus operations to foster a thriving learning environment.

Her journey in education began in the classroom, where she spent over a decade teaching and mentoring students. She later transitioned into leadership roles, serving as an assistant principal, instructional coach, and curriculum developer. Pringle holds a Master’s in Educational Administration with a Principalship from the University of Texas at El Paso and is deeply committed to creating inclusive, high-achieving schools where every student can thrive.
As she steps into her new role, Pringle is focused on strengthening academic programs, building collaborative relationships, and ensuring Powell Elementary remains a supportive and dynamic learning community for all.
