For the 2025-2026 school year, parents/guardians will upload absence information to the school via a QR Code. It usually takes 48-72 hours to be updated in the attendance system.

All absences are reviewed to determined Excused or Unexcused by Chapin Administration.
Please note: Periods 2 and 6 are Attendance Accounting Periods (Official School Attendance Periods).
All students must be in periods 2 and 6 in order to be counted present. Students absent, even briefly, from period 2/6 will need appropriate documentation to classify the absence as Excused.
Students arriving 30 minutes or more into a class period will be marked ABSENT.

All field trips will be properly coded once the coach/sponsor/advisor submits the proper field trip paperwork. Students must work with teachers prior to the field trip to gain required assignments.
Early Dismissals: Students can only be released to a parent/guardian for early dismissal. The adult signing out the student must complete the absence request form when signing out the student. If a student leaves campus without being properly signed out from the office, the student may be reported as Absent/Unexcused or possibly Truant.
