CHAPIN HIGH CLASS OF 2026 REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 09, 2026) — Chapin High School celebrated the accomplishments of 396 graduates as the Class of 2026 crossed the stage ready to pursue higher education, careers, military service, and new opportunities beyond high school.

Leading the class were Valedictorian Carlos Vasquez Gomez and Salutatorian Isabelle Gonzales, whose academic achievements reflect the dedication and excellence demonstrated throughout their high school careers.

The campus also recognized Samantha Wise as the All Chapin Girl and Andrew Lantang as the All Chapin Boy for their outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the school community.

Among the many success stories within the Class of 2026 is Megan Moran, who earned recognition as a QuestBridge Scholar and received a full four-year scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis, one of the nation's most prestigious universities.

The class also includes Amira Carlson, the school's top scholarship recipient, who earned more than $750,000 in scholarship offers, creating opportunities to pursue her academic and career goals.

Chapin High School is also proud to recognize four graduates who were unable to attend the ceremony because they are representing El Paso and the Southwest region at the National Stock Market Challenge in Boston. Ayden Hernandez, Hazael Hernandez-Garcia, Saul Infante, and William Vo advanced to the national competition through Chapin's P-TECH program, where they are competing in simulated stock market activities against top teams from across the country.

Their participation on the national stage reflects the innovative learning experiences available to Chapin students and the strong preparation they receive for college and future careers.

"The Class of 2026 has distinguished itself through academic achievement, leadership, perseverance, and service. Whether earning prestigious scholarships, competing on a national stage, or preparing for the next step in their educational journey, these students have represented Chapin High School with pride and excellence. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished," said Principal Ragen Chappell.

From scholarship recipients and academic leaders to national competitors and future professionals, the Chapin High School Class of 2026 has demonstrated excellence, determination, and a commitment to success. El Paso ISD congratulates the Chapin High School Class of 2026 and wishes its graduates continued success as they pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
