March is here, and as college teams chase championship dreams, the Burges and Andress High School boys’ basketball teams have already shown us what it takes to win. Their grit, skill, and relentless effort led them to Area Championship titles, and we are incredibly proud of their achievement.
We concluded our in-person Community Conversations; to every parent, student, educator, and staff member who shared their voice, thank you. Your input truly matters. What you shared will help shape the blueprint that will guide our district for the next five years, ensuring El Paso ISD remains a district of choice and excellence.
The survey supporting this work is still open, and I encourage everyone to take a few moments to complete it. Your feedback is essential as we build our future together.
Things to Know
Celebrating Our Scholars
This is an exciting time across El Paso ISD as our seniors continue to earn scholarships and recognition for their academic excellence and leadership. From national programs like QuestBridge and National Merit to the generous support of community partners such as UTEP and the El Paso ISD Education Foundation, our students are seeing doors open to incredible opportunities. I recently had the honor of attending the TALAS Scholarship Ceremony and it served as a reminder of the many organizations working alongside us to support student success. The future is bright for the Class of 2026.
Hoop Dreams
Congratulations to the Andress and Burges boys’ basketball teams for punching their tickets to the Sweet 16! We are also cheering on our 7th and 8th boys and girls Middle School division winners who recently wrapped up their championship tournaments with incredible heart and hustle. Mariachi Programs Reach New Heights at State
The “sound of El Paso” was felt deeply in Seguin, Texas, this past week as our talented student-musicians took the stage at the UIL State Mariachi Festival. Congratulations to all of our high schools that represented the district at the state level.
