El Paso Independent School District will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the El Paso ISD Administration Building, 1014 N. Stanton St.

The meeting will be conducted in person or via video conference, which will be audible to the Board and the public, allowing for two-way communication.

The public may access this meeting through www.episd.org/page/boardlive

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the El Paso Independent School District’s rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).

👟✨ At Douglass Elementary, it is about more than shoes, it was about dignity, confidence, and the reminder that our children are deeply loved and believed in. Thanks to Operation Warm and Marshalls/TJMAXX, our every Dragons received brand new shoes and socks. But what mattered most was what they said: 💬 “The best day of my life.” 💬 “My shoes are broken and I needed new shoes. Me and all my class are happy — and my mom too.” 💬 “Thank you for the shoes and socks. This means a lot to me and my parents.” As their principal, I will never forget the joy in their eyes. New shoes gave them more than comfort — they gave our children the confidence to walk proudly, the dignity to feel seen, and the belief that they can step boldly into their future. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Operation Warm and Marshalls/TJMAXX, for walking alongside our students and families. Together, you gave them more than shoes — you gave them hope.
