Whether you are an active parent, guardian, community member, booster parent, active Official EPHS Alumni member, PTSA member, college student, or new or returning volunteer, please ensure that you click on the following link to register to volunteer at the school(s) of your preference. Volunteer clearance is good for one year and resets every July. We do not have rollover applicants. Everyone wanting to serve as a volunteer must register through our EPISD VIPS link so that we can run a background check. El Paso ISD App setting instructions The El Paso ISD (EPISD) app offers various features to connect with your child's school and teachers. Here's how to get started and set up its functionalities: 1. Download and initial setup Search and Download: Find the "El Paso Independent School District" app in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download it. Allow Notifications: Allow EPISD to send you notifications for news, social media, and emergencies. Choose Schools: Select your child's school(s) from the provided list. You can choose more than one campus. 2. Setting up the "Rooms" feature (for parent-teacher communication) The "Rooms" feature is a key component for communicating with your child's teachers. Here's how to set it up: Access Rooms: After opening the app, look for the toggle on the bottom right corner and select "Rooms". Verify Phone Number: Enter your cellphone number to receive an authentication code. Enter Authentication Code: Enter the received code in the designated field. Access Notifications: Select "My Notifications" to view messages and announcements. Parent/Guardian Invitation: If you're a parent or guardian, you may receive a text message invitation with a link to sign up. Tap on this link to access your school's app and follow the "Rooms" setup steps. 3. Additional notes and resources The EPISD app allows you to customize notifications and stay informed with updates from the administration. For further help with Rooms, you can access the "Rooms Central (Resource Hub)" or "Rooms Tips" (available in English and Spanish) within the app or on the EPISD website. If you're using the EPISD online registration system, ensure that your Parent Portal account details are up-to-date and linked to your child's information.
