(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT — March 12, 2026) — El Paso Independent School District has launched a new Family Help Desk designed to provide parents and caregivers with a single point of contact for questions, concerns, and support related to their child’s education.
The Family Help Desk connects families with district departments and resources, helping them navigate topics ranging from enrollment and transportation to special programs and student services. The initiative is part of a broader commitment to strengthening communication with families and making it easier for parents to access the support and resources their children need to succeed.
Families can contact the Family Help Desk by calling 915-230-2581 Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., where a dedicated staff member will assist callers, connect them with the appropriate department, and follow up within 24 hours. Calls received after hours will be returned the following business day. Family members can also email the Family Help Desk at
“Families often don’t know where to start when they have a question or concern,” said Chief Communications Officer Liza Rodriguez. “The Family Help Desk was created to make that process simple. Whether a parent needs help enrolling a child, understanding a program, or finding the right department, this team is here to guide them.”
The service reflects the district’s commitment to improving responsiveness and transparency while ensuring families remain closely connected to their schools.
“El Paso ISD serves a diverse community, and families deserve clear pathways to support,” said Board President Leah Hanany. “The Family Help Desk helps ensure that when families reach out, they are not only heard, but they are connected to the people who can help them quickly and follow through with information.”
District officials say the Family Help Desk will continue to evolve as staff gather feedback from families and campuses to better understand the most common needs and concerns. Rodriguez emphasized that the dedicated staff member will be bilingual.
“Our goal is to remove barriers and make sure every family knows they have someone in the district who will listen and help,” Rodriguez said.
