PreK-5th grade students will be visiting the Armijo Public Library by bus on Friday, September 6th. Please return the permission slip to your child's teacher if you would like your child to attend. There is no fee for the field trip. Students do not need to bring any additional items on that day. El Paso Public Library card applications are optional and to be completed if you would like your child to receive a library card from the public library.

El Paso ISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Diana Sayavedra were thrilled to recognize two fine arts students for winning district and city competitions. Italia Esquivel from Burges High School obtained first place in the El Paso Regional Art Contest. Her artwork was selected out of 77 entries from the El Paso region. Shaheli De Silva from Young Womenā€™s Academy, earned a platinum medal at the Junior Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition. Her exemplary award is the highest award a middle school student can receive at the Junior VASE competition. #ItStartsWithUs
