Dear Herrera Families,
This year, our annual canned food drive will focus on supporting Herrera families in need. With the ongoing government shutdown, many households in our community are being impacted by delays in SNAP benefits and other assistance programs.
We want to come together as a Herrera family to ensure that no one in our school community goes without food during this time. All donated items will first be made available to Herrera families who may need extra support. After our families have had the opportunity to pick up items, any remaining donations will be delivered to our local food bank to help others in the wider community.
Every can, box, and bag makes a difference. Thank you for helping us show what it means to care for one another. Together, we can make this season a little brighter for all our families.

Este año, nuestra colecta anual de alimentos enlatados se enfocará en apoyar a las familias de Herrera que están pasando por momentos de necesidad. Debido al cierre actual del gobierno, muchos hogares de nuestra comunidad se han visto afectados por retrasos en los beneficios de SNAP y otros programas de asistencia.
Queremos unirnos como una familia Herrera para asegurarnos de que nadie en nuestra comunidad escolar se quede sin alimentos durante este tiempo.
