this message is from your school counselor, Mrs. Maldonado. The Assistance League of El Paso provides new clothing, shoes and hygiene items for 1st-5th grade students in El Paso County through Operation School Bell. If you have a child/children in 1st - 5th grade and are interested in receiving some new clothing and shoes, please text me at 915-308-3453 and I will send home a form for you to fill out. Each child receives 3 plain t-shirts, 3 pairs of jeans, 1 jacket, 1 pair of shoes, and a hygiene kit. I am able to place clothing orders for 24 students so the forms will be sent home on a first come/first serve basis. Thank you!

Cada niño recibe 3 camisetas lisas, 3 pares de jeans, 1 chaqueta, 1 par de zapatos y un kit de higiene. Walk or Roll to School Day is tomorrow! Polar Bears and families are welcome to join us. We are excited to share this fun activity with you! Scholars will be able to store their bikes, skates, skateboard, or whatever they used to roll to school in the multipurpose room. Parents are encouraged to take it with them as they leave the school that morning.
Día de caminar o rodar a la escuela es mañana! Los osos polares y familias están invitados a acompañarnos! Los estudiantes podrán guardar sus bicicletas, patines, patinetas o cualquier cosa que usaran para ir a la escuela en el salón de usos múltiples. Herrera Elementary will be participating in the Franklin Homecoming Parade tomorrow, Wednesday October 16th . If you would like to join us and walk the parade, please join us NO LATER THAN 4:45 pm in the parking lot between the Franklin Stadium and Magnet Center. Our float will be themed for the Disney Movie Up. If you will be participating, please bring a Color Helium Balloon (This is not mandatory but will help with the theme) Friendly reminder that all students walking the parade must be accompanied by an adult. If you have any questions, please call the front office 915.230.5000. Thank you!
