November 8th, we welcome Tom Lea students and faculty to celebrate Read Across the District - Students may read a library book, or bring their favorite book from home. They are also welcome to bring a stuffed animal as a reading buddy!

You will be educated on identifying fire hazards in the home as well as seasonal safety concerns.
*Free Fire Alarm Program
This program allows individuals (within the El Paso city limits) to request smoke detectors; we can install new alarms or replace expired alarms. Upon request, a member of the Community Risk Reduction program will contact you to set up an appointment. We will visit your home to install the alarms and demonstrate how they function.
The El Paso Fire Department also offers a smoke alarm program specifically geared towards assisting the Deaf and Hearing-Impaired communities.
*Fire Extinguisher
El Paso Fire Department will provide on-site training on using a fire extinguisher.
