Dear Barron Families

We have officially completed our **second week of school**, and we are excited to begin **Week 3!** Our Pioneers continue to grow more confident with classroom routines, campus expectations, and the learning taking place each day.

Thank you, families, for your continued partnership as we build strong systems and a positive culture where **every Pioneer learns, belongs, and succeeds.

# Every Pioneer Reaching Success

As we enter Week 3, our teachers will continue setting **high expectations for Tier 1 instruction** and helping students understand what they are learning and what success looks like.

Across our classrooms, students are being encouraged to **think, talk, read, write, explain, and problem-solve**. We are also building consistency through strategies students can use across classrooms:

* **Math – Read, Draw, Write:** Understand the problem, represent thinking, and explain the solution.
* **Writing – RACES:** Use an organized process to develop strong written responses.
* **Reading – Who? + What?:** Identify who the text is about and what is happening to strengthen comprehension.

We want our Pioneers to understand that learning sometimes requires **productive struggle**. When students persevere through challenging learning, use strategies, and learn from mistakes, they develop confidence and independence.

Our Pioneers will begin **i-Ready testing**. These assessments provide our teachers with valuable information about each student's strengths and areas for growth. We will use this information to plan instruction and provide the right support for students.

Please continue helping your child be ready for success by ensuring they **get plenty of rest, arrive at school on time, and come prepared to do their best.**

Thank you for supporting the systems we have established for **arrival, transitions, lunch, recess, and dismissal**. We ask that you be patient at all times as safety of children is our priority. As students become more familiar with these routines, we are able to maximize instructional time while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Please remind your Pioneer to:

* Wear their **student ID badge throughout the school day**.
* Follow classroom and campus expectations.
* Demonstrate Barron **PRIDE** throughout the day.
* Attend school **every day and on time**.

#❤️ Barron PRIDE

We are proud to see our students demonstrating:

P – Positive**
R – Respectful**
I – Involved**
D – Determined**
E – Excellent**

Every positive choice contributes to the culture we want for Barron!

As we begin **Week 3**, our commitment remains the same: creating a safe, welcoming, and academically focused school where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

#Right Here. Right Now.

What does every Pioneer need from us #right here, right now to be successful?

Together, families and staff demonstrate #The Power of One and make a difference for our Pioneers every day.

#One School. One Family. One Pioneer at a Time.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Attendance week 1
**🍎 Barron Elementary Family Newsletter – Week 1 🍎**

**Dear Barron Pioneer Families,**

What an amazing first week of school! It has been a joy welcoming our students back to campus and seeing our classrooms filled with excitement, learning, and smiling faces. Thank you for your support, patience, and partnership as we began another wonderful school year.

Last week, our focus was on building strong routines and establishing the systems that help our school run safely and smoothly. Students practiced arrival procedures, hallway expectations, recess and lunch routines, classroom transitions, and dismissal procedures. These routines help create a structured learning environment where every Pioneer can thrive.

At Barron Elementary, we are committed to building a positive school culture that:

* Sets **high expectations** for every student.
* Builds **positive and respectful relationships**.
* Creates a **safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment**.
* Encourages a **shared commitment to student success**.
* Promotes **collaboration** among teachers, staff, and families.
* Welcomes **family and community engagement**.
* Celebrates the achievements and diversity of every Pioneer.

Our theme this year, **The Power of One**, reminds us that each person has the power to make a difference. When students, families, and staff work together, we create a school where every child learns, belongs, and succeeds.

As we continue into the second week of school, please help us by:

* Ensuring your child arrives at school **on time every day**.
* Reviewing arrival and dismissal procedures with your child.
* Encouraging positive behavior and a growth mindset.
* Staying connected through Rooms and our campus communications.
* Asking your child about what they learned each day.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to an outstanding school year together.

Together, we will continue to blaze new trails and demonstrate **The Power of One**—one family, one school, and one Pioneer at a time.

Have a wonderful week!
