Dear Sunrise Mountain Families,
Today, Sunrise Mountain Elementary conducted a lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety and preparedness.
We want to assure you that this was only a drill, and all students and staff were safe. The drill was completed successfully and we were all clear to proceed to normal instructional activities.
Lockdown drills are required and help students and staff practice staying calm, following directions, and responding appropriately in the event of an emergency. Our goal is always to ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all of our Lions.
