2025 hOLIDAYS AROUND THE WORLD (1)
We would like to recognize Marium Zahra, senior at YWA, who is the 2025 recipient of the Youth in Action for Human Rights Awards, recognizing youth leadership in the defense of, advocacy for, and awareness raising/promotion of awareness about human rights in the United States.

Marium has been a published journalist since middle school and her writing has reached a wide national audience. Year after year, her work can be seen in major publications and is deserving of this high honor. As she prepares to leave for college, we know this is only the beginning. Her voice will be celebrated for years to come and the impact will be felt across the world.

The Awards are made annually to one individual and one group in the United States whose work explicitly or implicitly reflects and promotes human rights values.
