Dear Roadrunner Families, It’s that special time of year when we come together to thank and honor the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. We will be creating a Wall of Honor to recognize all of our Roadrunner veterans and active-duty military members. Families are invited to participate by filling out a white blank brick (attached below or available in the front office) and including a photo of your veteran or service member. You may submit more than one brick if you have multiple family members to honor. Examples of completed bricks are attached for your reference. We also invite our Roadrunner veterans and active-duty members to join us for our Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, November 10 at 8:45 a.m. in the cafeteria. Thank you for helping us celebrate and recognize the heroes within our Roadrunner family.

The PTA is hosting a Fall Neon Dance Party! Check out the attached flyer for more information. 5th grade is hosting a haunted house for $2. Ticket pre-sales start today! Please scan the QR code to purchase. Students MUST have an adult stay with them for both the haunted house and dance. 💃

El Paso Independent School District will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the El Paso ISD Administration Building, 1014 N. Stanton St.

The meeting will be conducted in person or via video conference, which will be audible to the Board and the public, allowing for two-way communication.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the El Paso Independent School District’s rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).

Attention Roadrunner Families, Please take a moment to check your student’s backpack or folder for the Federal Impact Aid Survey. This important form helps our school receive vital funding and must be completed and returned to campus by October 24th. Additionally, the Income Determination Form, which supports our school in securing aid for food and nutrition services, became available online on August 20, 2025. We kindly ask that you complete this form through the Parent Portal or return the paper version to the front office by October 24th.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is a reminder that Intersession will take place tomorrow through Friday (October 8–11). Only students who received an invitation are to attend.

Please note the following important details:
Transportation: Buses will run their normal morning/ afternoon routes.

Dismissal Time: Students will be dismissed at 2:55 PM instead of the usual 3:25 PM.

Capacity: Intersession classes are currently at full capacity, and we are unable to accept additional students at this time.

Fun Intersession Events: Please see attached flyer for fun events that will be happening during intersession.

Good Afternoon Western Hills Families,

Don't forget next week is a short week. We will be hosting Intersession Wednesday - Friday for students who received a permission slip from their teachers. Please see attached flyer for our intersession events.

Good Afternoon 2nd Grade Families,

CogAT still has not fixed the problem with our student ID numbers. We are going to postpone the 2nd grade test until all numbers have been fixed to ensure there are no testing errors. We are hopeful they will be able to test by the end of October. We will keep you posted, and once IDs have been fixed we will schedule a date and send out that information.

From October 27–31, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week, a nationwide campaign that encourages students to make healthy, safe, and drug-free choices. This is a wonderful opportunity to build awareness and empower our children to make positive decisions for their future.
Attached you will find our Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days flyer. Each day has a fun theme, and we encourage all students to participate and show their school spirit while learning about the importance of making good choices.
Please note: Friday, October 31, will be a half day of school.
